My problem is that the KTM's seem to have major melt downs and on a more regular basis. Motors letting go and ECU failures are common to KTM's across all their line up.
Would stick with the Street Triple RS. Problem is, it's sold out everywhere. I believe dukes 790/890s are made by CF Moto in China, India makes 390s,200s, 250s,125s (rc,duke, adventures) First gen single cyl engines had a lot of problems but after 2017 I believe they fixed all the issues with the bikes.
i bought my 790 duke sept 2020 and to date i have put 15k on it and more or less used it as a commuter and weekend toy, mechanicly i have had zero problems with it not 1 ! the rider aids is another story! the anti wheelie does not work the abs on the rear was a bit hit and miss but that seems ok now and the traction control is hit and miss at best, i have had it back to the dealer about these
Yes. Never buy a new bike as your first bike. You're going to drop it at 10mph and instantly burn $3000. yugenotaht-backwards • 6 yr. ago. I bought a new Duke 390 and have not dropped it. Even still I put on frame sliders right away after I bought it just in case.. WinnieDePoop • 6 yr. ago.
